Natural rubber demand is expected to grow by 3.0%

According to IRSG (International Rubber Research Organization) data, global natural rubber demand is expected to increase by 3.0% to 12.5 million tons in 2016, and demand in 2017 is expected to increase by 2.9% to 12.87 million tons. The average annual growth rate of natural rubber consumption from 2016 to 2025 is expected to be 2.8%. Taking into account the negative factors, the global consumption of natural rubber in 2017 is expected to be 12.78 million tons, an increase of 2.2%. The organization also predicts that the global supply of natural rubber is expected to be in deficit in 2016. As a result, IRSG predicts that global rubber consumption is expected to increase by 1.6% in 2016, a slight increase from the 1.0% increase in 2015. From 2017 to 2025, the average annual growth rate of global rubber consumption is expected to be 2.8%; taking into account negative factors, the global rubber consumption in 2017 is expected to be 27.83 million tons, an increase of 2.6%.
